Beneteau North Amercia is a division of Group Beneteau, an international sailboat and powerboat manufacturer. The company has over 7,000 employees and facilities worldwide.  Though the company is headquartered in Western France, their North American headquarters is in Cadillac, MI. The North American division includes production of the Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft and Scarab brand boats.


The company’s I.T. Director decided it was time to get away from personal desktop devices.  Their goal was to begin working with multifunction printers (MFPs) that were more cost effective and provided a variety of functions. With this decision, the I.T. director’s goal was to have consistency with the equipment across all North American locations.  This allows for one point of contact for communication, service, and invoicing. Because of this preference, the upgrade initiative was for all North American facilities, including operations in South Carolina and Maryland.


Having had a relationship with the Four Winns brand for many years, Applied Imaging had a proven positive track record with Beneteau North America. Placing networked Ricoh MFPs in all three locations, according to the I.T. Director, Applied Imaging made the installation process seamless. All the MFP’s are networked together, meaning they are able to communicate with Applied Imaging’s headquarters.   This allows Applied Imaging to record meter reads, letting Beneteau North America know page counts along with one monthly invoice. The I.T. Director is now looking to Applied Imaging to employ a global printing solution. This would allow any user on the worldwide Benteau network to print a document on any of the company’s output devices whether they’re in Michigan, South Carolina or France.
