Applied Imaging Continues Its Positive Economic Impact With Michigan Business Systems Merger

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Applied Imaging (www.appliedimaging.com), Michigan's premier office technology solutions provider and recent honoree as one of the 2012 "National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For" has continued its growth and “Keep It In The Mitt” commitment by merging with Michigan Business Systems (MBS), effective January 31, 2013.  The combined companies will continue operations under Applied Imaging’s management team and name.

Applied Imaging has retained all the MBS service personnel, which will make the merger seamless for customers from a service, personnel and product offering standpoint.  John Spitzig, President of Michigan Business Systems commented, “I chose to merge with Applied Imaging because of their progressive way of doing business and to expand opportunities for our clients and employees.  Our clients now have access to a wider range of advanced technology from world famous companies like Canon, Ricoh and Kyocera.  This will help them to be more productive and profitable.”  Spitzig continued, “In addition, Applied Imaging has an amazing internal culture and work environment and this will help to advance the careers of our employees.”

Current Michigan Business Systems clients will now experience the benefit of having additional resources available with Applied Imaging’s innovative service and support programs.  Furthermore, Applied Imaging offers expertise in high production print systems, Enterprise Content Management from OnBase as well as other leading software companies and provides in-house programming to help integrate software or implement customized document imaging workflows.

“I believe this is a dream come true and validates our vision for the future,” said John Lowery, Applied Imaging’s President.  “Michigan Business Systems clients now have access to better technology, managed services and unmatched service support.  In addition, as a stronger company Applied Imaging can offer more career opportunities to our team.  Finally, this merger keeps all of the business right here in Michigan.  This aligns with our “Keep It in the Mitt” spirit and will have a positive impact on the Michigan economy,” concluded Lowery.
